Jim Ingoldby established Ingoldby Wines in McLaren Vale in 1973. Since that time, Ingoldby has made a succession of award-winning wines in the traditional McLaren Vale style.
Today, Ingoldby is renowned for producing concentrated, full-flavoured, fruit driven red wines that maintain the fine balance of being approachable in their youth and improving with age in the cellar.
Truly aromatic with upfront strawberries and raspberries dominating the supporting cedar oak.
Bursting with flavour, this wine is soft and juicy with luscious berry fruit taking charge but allowing a subtle confected butterscotch to follow gracefully. The tannins are silky and balanced well with a hint of warm sweet spice.

McLaren Vale lies nestled between the Mt Lofty Ranges and the rolling white sand beaches of Gulf St Vincent. With its warm Mediterranean climate, relaxed coastal ambience and superb local produce, McLaren Vale is a melting pot of food, wine and the arts: the ultimate epicurean destination. The region is renowned for its soft and velvety Shiraz, with pronounced berry, spice and chocolate flavours.
Ingoldby McLaren Vale Shiraz was matured predominantly in seasoned French and American oak, with some parcels seeing new of each as well.

"At Ingoldby we take pride in selecting small parcels of fruit for our wines each vintage that display the truly unique characters that the McLaren Vale region has to offer," says Kate. "I love McLaren Vale's proximity to the sea. Not only is it spectacular, but the ocean has an amazing cooling effect on the grape vines."
