The original Jamiesons Run was a remote outback sheep station owned by the Jamieson Brothers in the mid 1800s. The winery was named after the siblings as a tribute to the Limestone Coast’s pioneering past.
Since the early 1950s Jamiesons Run has been crafting fruit with a winemaking focus that starts in the vineyard.

Lifted fruit aromas of plum, black cherry, raspberry, with juicy blackcurrants: complimented by light cedar and allspice from the oak.
Medium bodied, soft and rounded with a generous array of ripe berry fruit flavours and a velvety long finish. The bright berry fruit aromas are reflected in the palate. This is a consistently good Cabernet Sauvignon.
A visit to South Australia’s Limestone Coast is a wine extravaganza boasting deep terra rossa soils, pure underground waters, a Mediterranean climate – and of course the finest fruits of Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Mount Gambier, Robe, Padthaway and Wrattonbully.
Andrew Hales' career path has lead him from the Barossa, Clare and Hunter Valley to the vineyards of France, Sicily, Tunisia and the former Soviet Republic of Moldova, culminating in his appointment to the senior winemaking role at Jamiesons Run.
At university, Andrew studied Agricultural Science before completing a Graduate Diploma in oenology at the renowned Roseworthy College.
Prior to studying at Roseworthy Andrew gained vintage experience in New Zealand. Then, during the 1996 vintage, he worked at Mount Pleasant Winery in the Hunter Valley before a further stint at Tasmania's Pipers Brook winery.
With an unrivalled blend of experience gathered in the Old and New Worlds, Andrew Hales is uniquely qualified to make the wines of Jamiesons Run express the finest character of South Australia.
