Penfolds are proud to announce the fourth release in a collaboration series with Champagne Thiénot, a new non-vintage Rosé Champagne.
This Champagne Rosé represents the joint efforts of Thiénot chef de cave Nicolas Uriel and Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago, who share mutual style and quality ambitions. A shared blending philosophy has been key to the partnership.
The palate is balanced, with an overt freshness and a delicate dosage imprint on finish. With a bright/vivid pale-salmon hue, the Champagne Brut Rosé is ready to drink in its youth and perfect to enjoy now.
The 2019 release of the first Champagne Thiénot x Penfolds collaboration was timed to coincide with our 175th anniversary. It marked the beginning of a new journey for Penfolds in France, where Max Schubert was first inspired to make Grange in 1950.
The Thiénot x Penfolds Champagne project is a cross-cultural exchange that promises to unlock new ideas and to progress Penfolds beyond Australian shores. Champagne Thiénot are an important family wine company with ownership or access to 725 hectares of Cru vineyards. They are one of France’s most innovative and imaginative wine businesses. Penfolds Chief Winemaker, Peter Gago, was hands-on in creating all four exemplary Champagnes.
This much anticipated vintage has received an extraordinary seven perfect 100 point scores.
The French release is led by a wine made in partnership with one of Bordeaux’s most respected winemaking Houses.
