Perfumed with intense aromas of citrus blossom, bath salts and white nectarines.
The 2020 Riesling has a soft a juicy palate of lime with hints of florals and citrus. The citrus flavours on the palate are supported by crunchy acidity which provides purity and finesse. Displaying some age with toasty lemon, lime and butter notes, the wine has developed complexity.
Cool-climate Eden Valley is no lush farmland with gently undulating hills: its rugged, windswept terrain and steeply sloping gradients are peppered with rocky outcrops and gnarled gum trees. Eden Valley’s ancient soils and its varied topography nourish a range of distinctive, aromatic and elegant wines. Traditional grape growing in the region focuses on sustainability and authenticity.
The 2019/20 growing season was characterised by extremely dry periods and a mild late Summer. The Survivor vines yielded lower than average, however sufficient canopy protected the precious fruit from sunburn, and consequently fruit matured evenly. The fruit quality was very good with optimum flavours and ripeness, while retaining natural fresh acidity.
