Light and refreshing Prosecco with fresh aromas of pear and a hint of lemon, this wine is mouth wateringly good perfectly crisp with a zesty finish.
The palate is ridiculously good bursting with notes of citrus fruits, sweet lemon pith and green apple, all carried onto the palate creating a light, fresh Prosecco. The fruit sweetness is balanced out by the crisp acidity that makes for a lingering finish.
This viticultural ‘super zone’ covering almost one third of Australia is a showcase of diversity in varieties, terroir and style. The so-called engine room of the Aussie industry, the best fruit converges for single varietal and blends for all palates.
Based in Marlborough, Spring grew up in Christchurch and studied photography and sociology at university before taking a shot at winemaking. To get there she worked her way up through hospitality, on to Lincoln University to study winemaking, into the cellar, then the wine lab before becoming a fully-fledged winemaker. Spring’s bubbly personality and creative background is reflected in Squealing Pig wines.
