Sue Hodder is one of Australia’s best-known and revered winemakers. She has nearly three decades of experience at Wynns, making wine from the wonderful, expressive fruit grown in the heart of the terra rossa.
Wynns Coonawarra Estate
It begins in 1890, with John Riddoch’s visionary community of small tenant farmers, producing quality crops in the red soils north of Penola. So fruitful was his enterprise, that an enormous winery was required to process the grapes they produced.
Spotlight on Wynns
Since the first vineyards were planted in 1891 by visionary Scottish pioneer John Riddoch, Wynns Coonawarra Estate has steadily built its reputation as Coonawarra’s pre-eminent wine producer.
